Ghee is also known as 'gold' and is called 'knowledge of life' in the traditional Indian language. An Indian kitchen staple, ghee is also used with medicinal porpuses. In the Western world we know ghee as a clarified butter.
There are many different ways to manufacture ghee; we are proud to say that we stick to the traditional way, in which the butter is gently cooked and then melted at a very low temperature. Heated up to about 90°C afterwards, its water content volatilizes, this allowing for the foam and butter flakes to be skimmed. Finally, our ghee is bottled into a glas.
