Artecnica tote bags were produced in conjunction with Homeboy Industries, the largest gang intervention program in the US that provides ex-gang members the opportunity to build their own sustainable businesses locally in the US.
Artecnica worked with the graphic design firm, Studio Lin and Homeboy Industries, the largest gang prevention program in the US, to produce the tote bag series and they are one of the of Artecnica's Design With Conscience Projects.
The canvas totes are screenprinted by ex-gang members with their original calligraphy, featuring slogans like "Nothing Stops a Bullet Like a Job" or "Hard Work Is Easier Than Hard Time".
The canvas is thick and durable, the strap length is perfect and there's even a pocket on the inside.
