80 CARD DECK
THE ORIGINAL RIDER-WAITE DECK FROM 1909
The Golden Age Tarot, 1909 Edition is a faithful restoration of the iconic tarot illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. Originally printed in London in 1909, this deck helped shape the visual language of tarot for over a century. "My goal in this edition is to honor the integrity of Smith’s linework, colours, and symbolism while presenting it in a format true to its era.
Every card has been reproduced from high-end scans of the very first 1909 printing. I preserved the gentle, earth-toned watercolor palette she created, soft, natural hues that feel grounded and alive. Unlike the oversaturated versions so often seen in circulation, these colors breathe with the warmth and subtlety of her hand. I also restored her original handwritten titles/text, keeping the living character of her handwriting intact rather than replacing it with digital fonts. Each detail was chosen to carry the texture, tone, and charm of the original printing into the present.
This edition comes in a beautiful tuck box, with cards printed on high-quality linen stock for a smooth, natural shuffle. At 8.1 x 12.7cm, the cards are slightly larger than the original, allowing the imagery and symbols to open like windows into another world. This is both a working deck and a piece of history reborn, an offering for those who walk the path of divination.
My goal has been to pay homage to Pamela Colman Smith for her beautiful work and to help keep her original vision alive." – Daniel Martin Diaz

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Daniel Martin Di"Art is a reflection of ourselves, the story of humanity, and a quest to understand the physical and metaphysical world. As we try to understand our place in the universe, art can be an important part of the dialogue we can create and share with each other. In my work, I seek to reveal the mysterious with arcane imagery and techniques that make sense to me on a deep level that words cannot quantify. There is an underlying dichotomy of the power of technology and our quantum connection to our Universe. How might our use or misuse of technology permanently alter the future of humanity, and what is our personal responsibility for our effect on the world and on each other? It is my attempt to capture the complexity and beauty of the underlying mechanisms that bind us in an emotion."
