Binchotan is made up of 97% pure carbon. Absorbs toxins, lead, mercury, cadmium, copper and chlorine. and releases calcium, potassium and magnesium into the water.

Furthermore, residues of pesticides, herbicides and antibiotics are also known to be absorbed. However, it is preferable to use Woody Binchotan in glass bottles.

From dangersalimentaires.com: “Water in a plastic bottle contains twice as many hormones as tap water.”

According to a study carried out by two German researchers, published in the journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research, plastic releases hormones (male or female) into the water, called endocrine disruptors. These hormones, even in very low doses, can harm the functions of the human reproductive system. The study was carried out on 20 bottles of mineral water in Germany, all containing PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and on water in glass containers, in order to make a comparison. “In twelve of them, twice as high hormonal activity was observed in the water from plastic bottles.”

Thanks to ancient inventions such as Binchotan, we have very high quality tap water, which is 300 times cheaper than any water bottled in PET plastic. Not to mention the savings in terms of pollution.

Although tap water, which is heavily monitored, promises very high quality thanks to ancient inventions such as Binchotan and is 300 times cheaper than any water bottled in PET plastic. Not to mention the monumental pollution economy. In addition to water filtration and mineralization, charcoal can also contribute to the absorption of odors and humidity, as a hydrostatic regulator in the home, absorption of electromagnetic waves, release of negative ions, as a natural fertilizer.

With 2 pieces per year, we can purify tap water, which is 300x cheaper than any bottled water, and put 365 fewer plastic bottles into nature. Contrary to popular belief, the past has and will still have many lessons to teach us in terms of ecology and respect for the environment! Woody is a simple product, used for centuries in other cultures, 100% natural and allows you to stop buying bottled water in plastic.

How to use:

Simply place the charcoal filter in a jug of water and it will work its magic. The water's taste will noticeably improve already after 1 hour, but for the best effect, leave it there for 8 hours - ideally overnight.

Over time, you will notice a decrease in the filter's effectiveness on the taste of the water. You can then recharge it by simply boiling it for ten minutes.

Boiling washes away impurities and releases the charcoal to regain absorption qualities. Some people have more sensitive taste buds than others, so if you notice a drop in taste before 3 months have passed, it is quite normal to boil it at this stage as well. Giving it a total shelf life of six months, as long as it produces the desired effect, it means it's working!

After that, recycle: Deodorizing various places such as closets, shoe racks, trash cans, etc. or as a soil fertilizer.
